Day 1: Enter the Empty Quarter

1:00 pm – Departure from Abu Dhabi.
Your desert journey starts with a luxury 4WD with serene drives leading into the mighty Rub’ al Khali. Get ready to witness the magic with our Liwa Desert Safari Package.
3:00 pm – Visit Liwa Oasis & Spot the Wildlife.
Wander through the palm groves, meet the local farmers, enjoy the taste of fresh dates and get to know everything about the ancient falaj irrigation systems, which are still in use today.

Visit the desert sanctuary and see Arabian oryx, desert foxes, gazelles and rare bird species.
4:00 pm – Experience the Camel Farms.
Feed and interact with the camels and learn about their crucial role in Bedouin life & Emirati culture.
4:30 pm – Sandboarding and Dune bashing.
Handle the Liwa’s towering dunes with heart-racing dune bashing followed by a fun sandboarding across the golden slopes.
6:00 pm – Arrive at the camp & sunset ceremony.
Settle into your private tent, taste the date cider, and witness the sky turning into gold during a cosy sunset.
7:30 pm – Dinner in the desert.

Day 2: The Sunrise & The legacy

5:00 am – Wake-up call

5:30 am – Sunrise at Tal Mor’eb
Drive to the summit of one of the UAE’s tallest dunes to explore a breathtaking sunrise over the eternal desert sands.
7:00 am – Breakfast in the Liwa Desert dunes.
Kick start your day with a fresh breakfast served in a calm Liwa desert setting.
9:00 am (only in December) – Liwa Festival VIP access.
Enjoy the Liwa festival with an exclusive entry to witness the camel beauty pageants, thrilling races, cultural performances and artisan stalls.
9:00 am – Camel Racing track.
Discover the beauty of modern camel racing guided by robot jockeys and elite breeding programs.
10:00 am – Return Journey.
Relax and recollect the moments while we transport you back to Abu Dhabi by noon.

What is Not Included in the Package

Alcoholic beverages:

Alcoholic beverages are not included in the package price. Guests may purchase alcoholic drinks separately at designated areas within the camp, subject to local regulations and availability.
Personal expenses not listed in inclusions:

Any additional personal expenses or services not specifically mentioned in the inclusions, such as souvenirs, optional activities, or extra refreshments, are excluded from the package.

Important Information

Best time to travel

November to March: Ideal temperatures (around 25°c) and cool evenings. Includes Liwa Festival (December)
April to October: The activities are scheduled in the coolest hours of the day with camps containing cooling fans and early morning adventures.

Flashlight or Red-light torch (Optional for stargazing).
Camera with extra batteries and power banks.

An Emirates ID or passport is required.

Vehicle policy

There is no vehicle sharing policy in the overnight Liwa desert safari package. A private vehicle is assigned for you and your team exclusively.

Health & Safety Tips

Moderate physical activity is involved and is suitable for individuals who are fit enough.
The trip is not recommended for pregnant women or those with alarming heart or back issues.
The package includes on-site first aid kits, backup power, satellite communication and evacuation plans.

Child Safety:

According to UAE traffic law, children under three years must use a child safety seat. The Child seat will be arranged on request. Children must be supervised or accompanied by their parents or guardians at all times.

Things not permitted

To maintain that safety and respectful experience for everyone:

No alcohol or smoking is allowed on the tour or while inside the safari vehicle.
With all due respect for the Emirati Cultural norms and laws, photography is not allowed in government buildings, military or police zones or with local women.
